Lisenby Properties manages the properties we own. We offer a variety of
market-rate, workforce housing options and continue to add to our roster of
properties to better serve you.
Lisenby Properties has served the housing rental market in numerous rural
communities in Northwest Wisconsin for more than 15 years. We originally
specialized in rehabbing older, under-utilized, and distressed properties.
In 2020, Lisenby Properties purchased its first property outside Wisconsin.
This 34-unit property is located in Thomasville, Alabama, and in 2021 we
added an 80-unit property in Selma, AL to our portfolio.
Lisenby Properties is currently working to renovate a decommissioned
hospital in Neillsville, WI to a 105-unit apartment complex. This project
continues our history of rehabbing what would have become an under-utilized
asset in the community.
Our team works hard to provide housing at affordable market rental rates
that are also energy efficient. From new windows and doors to spray foam
insulation and energy-efficient appliances and LED lighting, we make smart
investments in our properties, so our tenants are comfortable and enjoy
lower utility costs than many of our competitors' properties.
How did we get started? In 2007, the first property was purchased by selling
beef cattle to raise the downpayment funds. Once the property was renovated
and rented, additional properties were acquired, renovated and rented. These
properties were duplexes, 4-plexes, 5-plexes and eventually 10-unit, 13-unit
and 16-unit complexes. Each of these projects needed rehabbing, renovation,
and/or remodeling. Now, years later, we have sold the smaller units to
invest in larger unit properties and more complex rehab projects.
